IFCO is run by an elected Board of Directors consisting of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and Director Generals. The Board is composed of junior and senior producing members, and members of the Ottawa community at large with requisite board experience or other areas of expertise. Board members are elected into two-year terms by IFCO’s membership, at an Annual General Meeting.
CURRENT BOARD MEMBERS:
Much of the strategic planning for IFCO occurs at the board level. At the beginning of each fiscal year, the Board, in conjunction with the Executive Director, evaluates the success of the past year’s programs, and sets out programming initiatives in both the short and long term. The Board meets on a monthly basis to continue their ongoing evaluation of IFCO’s policies and programs, which are modified and adapted as needed, to meet the needs of the Co-op and both its emerging and established filmmakers.
Among the Board’s other responsibilities are the following:
– supervising Board committees;
– ratification of funding proposals; and
– making decisions on other issues deemed appropriate for Board review.
