IFCO
is completely committed to community outreach. As part of its mandate
and artistic vision, IFCO is dedicated to both increasing the accessibility
of filmmaking to groups and communities, who would otherwise have no access,
while also strengthening and diversifying its community of filmmakers.
As part of our strategy IFCO has established fully subsidized Cultural
Diversity Hands-on-Filmmaking Workshop Series for individuals from
visibly multi-ethnic backgrounds, as well as for individuals from First
Nations, Inuit and Métis communities. These series provide an exhaustive
introduction into various aspects of 16mm film production from start to
finish.
You don't require any previous experience or background in filmmaking;
all you need is an eagerness to learn something new and exciting!
