MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION WORKSHOP

So you have shot, edited and finished your film, but what do you do with it now? How do you get it screened? Where do you get it screened? Learn how to market and distribute your film. This workshop will show you some simple strategies on how to get your film screened in front of an audience. The course will show you how to market your film, how to prepare a media kit and how to navigate the festival circuit. The course will also cover the Internet and Television Broadcasters.

Instructor's Bio:
An IFCO member since 1995, Kelly Ann has crewed on a number of IFCO productions and has written, directed and produced four short films, Mulberry Red, No.17, (1999), 10:33 (2001), The Organist (2002),and My Fur Hat (2005), which have been successfully screened at festivals and broadcasted across Canada. She is currently developing a few projects, including a short experimental film with SAW Video, entitled Miles.

A working artist, Kelly Ann founded Pink Slippers Productions in 1998. She is also an amateur photographer whose work has been publicly exhibited by the Downtown Rideau Business Improvement Area and the City of Ottawa.

Kelly Ann is a member of the New Edinburgh Community Alliance, Heritage and Development Committee and on Algonquin College's Scriptwriting Council. She was the Vice-President on IFCO's Board of Directors (2004-05). Kelly Ann is a seasonal instructor for IFCO's Hands-On Filmmaking Workshop Series and is also a guest lecturer at Algonquin College, University of Ottawa and Carleton University.
