You’ve finished your picture edit, your music is lined up and you have a few sound effects. Now take your soundtrack to the next level by introducing ProTools into your workflow. ProTools can help you sweeten your tracks and avoid thin sound. In this workshop you will make rich and detailed backgrounds, create abstract ambiences to set mood, and “futz” sounds so they appear to originate on a radio or telephone. Real, surreal, and sounds that don’t exist in nature are all examined and created. Our sounds will then be added to a QuickTime movie. (Participants are encouraged to bring their own QuickTime movies and sound elements.) Use your sonic imagination and add sound design to your storytelling arsenal.
